Mr. Samia is a former assistant head of the Corporate Banking
sector, where he was responsible for taking the lead in major
corporate lending, finance deals and underwriting issues.
Prior to joining DBP, he was vice president and deputy general
manager of the Bankers Trust Company, Manila Offshore Branch,
where he headed sales and distribution of the branch's various
products originating from the Corporate Finance, Treasury, and
Merchant Banking groups.
Mr. Samia also served as chief operating officer of BT Brokerage
Phils., a wholly owned subsidiary of Bankers Trust Company, and
was responsible for setting up the company in 1989.
