Chief Development Officer/Head, Human Resource Management
Benedicto Ernesto Bitonio, Jr. is a seasoned lawyer with extensive
experience in legal, management, and policy consulting. He served
the Department of Labor and Employment for 17 years, rising from
the ranks to occupy several senior positions such as director
of labor relations, assistant to the secretary, undersecretary,
and chairman of the National Labor Relations Commission.
Mr. Bitonio also has been a consultant with the International
Labor Organization, National Transmission Corporation, and Institute
of Labor Studies. He also teaches at the University of the Philippines
Graduate School of Industrial Relations.
A Bachelor of Arts graduate from the University of the Philippines-Diliman,
he earned his Bachelor of Law degree from the same school in 1989.
He also has a Master in Public Management from the National University
of Singapore, where he received the Lee Kuan Yew Prize for best
student and gold medal for best paper in 2003. He is also a fellow
of the Lee Kuan Yew program of the Kennedy School of Government,
Harvard University.
