Prior to his appointment to the DBP, Franklin Churchill Velarde
served the Board of Directors of Manila Bank from 1999-2007. He
is also involved in various capacities with the Amvel Land Development
Corporation, Multinational Realty Development Corporation, Delta
Broadcasting System, Acabar Marketing, Goodspace, Inc., and Shockpost
Multimedia.
Velarde has also attended top management courses on corporate
entrepreneurship organized by the Asian Institute of Management
and corporate governance and risk management by the Development
Finance Institute.
He graduated with a B.S. Biology degree from the University
of Sto. Tomas and earned his doctorate in Medicine from the De
La Salle College of Medicine.
