A professor of Political Science at the University of the Philippines,
Alexander R. Magno has served as Consultant for various government
agencies including the Department of Trade, Department of Finance
and the Philippine Senate. He was also Consultant for the Peace
Process for the Office of the President of the Philippines in
1996. He also worked as a special adviser for the Speaker of the
House of Representatives from 1996 to 1998.
Mr. Magno is the President of the Foundation for Economic Freedom
and is an editorial columnist for The Philippine Star. He is also
a contributing columnist for the Asian Wall Street Journal and
Gulfnews. He is the Commissioner of the EDSA People Power Commission
and co-hosts the TV program "Ugnayang Pambansa" over
NBN-Channel 4.
Mr. Magno earned his Bachelor's degree in Political Science from
the University of the Philippines where he also earned his Master
of Arts in Political Science.
