A lawyer by profession, William Dichoso has served in various
capacities in both the public and private sectors. He was elected
city councilor of San Pablo City in 1959, and later became board
member, vice governor, and acting governor of Laguna until the
1980s. He was a member of the Batasang Bayan, and a commissioner
of the Presidential Commission on Good Government.
In the private sector, Mr. Dichoso had stints with the Guevent
Group of Companies, Pilipinas Nissan, Inc., Honda Cars Philippines,
Dumaguete Rural Bank Inc., Benguet Corporation, Independent Realty
Corporation, and various UCPB companies. He was also legal counsel
of the Employers Confederation of the Philippines, Laguna Techno
Park Association, and F-Tech Philippines Incorporated, among others.
He also served in the board of directors of United Coconut Planters
Bank and United Coconut Planters Bank Securities, Inc., and in
the board of trustees of the Philippine Development Alternatives
Foundation.
A native of San Pablo City, Laguna, Mr. Dichoso earned his law
degree from Manuel L. Quezon University.
